ASTA (UK) CERTIFIED CURRENT TRANSFORMERS

Kappa’s entire low voltage range of tape insulated, resin cast and plastic case CTs is ASTA certified for a rating of 50 kA/3 secs and our Medium voltage CTs are also ASTA certified.

LV CTs are type tested at IPH Berlin, Germany for all routine tests, short time rating and temperature  rise test in accordance with IEC 61869-1,2

EXTENSIVELY TYPE TESTED

MV CT models are type tested to 50kA/3 secs, 60 kA/1 sec (Wound primary) and 110kA/1 sec for bar primary.
Both indoor and outdoor oil immersed, and outdoor dry type VT s are type tested to IEC 61869-1.3.
Apart from this, all the designs are periodically type-tested at leading laboratories in accordance with IEC and IS standards.

Our LV products Meet applicable European Directives and are CE marked.

Kappa exports its range of UL certified Control Power Transformers.

The Kappa Group has  much-coveted approvals from several engineering consulting firms such as EIL, MECON, M N DASTUR, TCE, etc

 The Group is  approved by M/s.BHEL , M/s.NTPC, ADANI Ltd, TATA POWER, RELIANCE POWER  and several others, including several State Electricity Boards .  Overseas acceptance includes KAHRAMAA IN  Qatar, Oman utilities, Jordan, UAE, TNB, SESB and SESCO in Malaysia, SP Assets in Singapore, IECO in Israel,  etc.

Currently, around 60% of Kappa’s production of CTs and VTs is exported to Switchboard Manufacturers in South-East Asia, Hong Kong, Australia, Middle East,  Africa, the US and Europe, bearing ample testimony to the quality, reliability and field performance of our products.
